Leaders Lab
Ravi Mehta
Reforge, Tinder, Facebook, TripAdvisor, Microsoft
The past two years have been a whirlwind. The product lifecycle has changed in fundamental ways. Customer expectations have reshaped around capabilities that felt impossible just a few years ago. This is the new normal—and leading through it requires new thinking.
We'll spend the day on exactly that: how to lead in the AI era. You'll leave with frameworks for making strategic AI decisions, peer-tested approaches from leaders facing the same challenges, and concrete strategies for building competitive advantage. No hype. Just what's working
<Morning Session>
You don't need to be OpenAI to win with AI. This session helps you navigate AI's real impact through two formats:
Part 1: Lighting Session
Through frameworks and case studies, we'll examine companies creating genuine differentiation with off-the-shelf models—not custom foundation models or massive ML teams. You'll learn where AI creates competitive advantage and where it's just noise.
Part 2: Peer-Driven Roundtables
Structured conversations across four dimensions shaping your work right now:
Customer expectations — How has "good enough" changed? What do customers now assume you can do?
Team ways of working — AI prototyping, faster specs, non-technical contributors building things. What's actually working?
Business model pressure — We used to price as if fulfillment had zero marginal cost. That's no longer true with reasoning and agentic models driving usage spikes. How are you structuring costs and pricing?
Market disruption — Is AI turning your market into a red ocean? Adobe moved fast to keep AI-powered tools from disrupting their position. Airbnb still hasn't rolled out substantial AI strategy. Where does your market fall, and how vulnerable are you?
<What you’ll learn>
Where AI creates genuine competitive advantage vs. where it's hype
How to build differentiation without custom models or massive ML teams
What's actually working in AI-enabled team workflows
How to navigate AI's new economics in pricing and costs
How vulnerable your market is to disruption and what to do about it
Actionable insights from peers solving the same problems
<Afternoon Session>
Building an AI-Native Team Workshop
The PM role isn't going away—and the idea that companies are hiring agents instead of people is overblown. If anything, we'll need more product managers as execution accelerates. But the role is evolving.
This hands-on 2.5-hour workshop focuses on helping your team level up without falling for the hype. You'll assess where AI is actually making your team faster and where it's introduced new challenges—like AI evaluations—that might be slowing you down.
By the end, you'll build a practical playbook: a team assessment and prioritized next steps you can use immediately.
<What you’ll learn>
Where AI is genuinely accelerating your team's work
Where AI has introduced new challenges and bottlenecks
How to assess your team's AI readiness and capabilities
How to create a prioritized action plan for leveling up
A practical playbook you can implement right away
