How do we select people for LABs Day?

For the LABs Day, we select Senior PMs, Product Leaders with 5y exp, and asparing CPOs and Head of Product

We also double-check applicants' backgrounds on LinkedIn to ensure the cohort gains the best possible benefit, making it worth the ROI and enhancing the learning experience.

What’s the start and end time? Will any meals be served?

Doors open at 7:30 am CET time and content begins at 9 am
Content ends around 5 pm and we'll host a happy hour until 7 pm while we prepare the area for the party
We’ll serve coffee and breakfast in the morning, lunch in the afternoon, and appetizers and drinks at happy hour.

What does my ticket include?

Your onsite ticket entitles you to access all areas and includes complimentary drinks, coffee, breakfast, and lunch. For the workshops on September 17th, dinner is also provided. Additionally, you will have access to recordings of all sessions approximately two weeks after the conference, which will later be available on our Community app.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes, if you're attending with a group of 10 or more, you can get a 10% discount on regular ticket prices. For support, contact us at team@productlab.app.

Can I pay with an Invoice?

YES. We understand that sometimes your (finance department) team needs to issue an invoice for a ticket. Simply enter the details, and we'll generate an invoice with a 30-day due date and send it to your inbox to receive the ticket.

Why am I paying VAT on the conference registration fee outside Germany?

In compliance with EU and German tax laws, a 19% Value Added Tax (VAT) is applied to all ProductLab Conference registration fees. This is required because the event falls under the category of B2B services related to admission to educational and professional events, as defined in Articles 53 and 54 of the EU VAT Directive 2006/112/EC, and the German UStG (VAT law).

Unlike many B2B transactions where VAT can be handled through the reverse charge mechanism, events like conferences are taxed in the country where they take place—in this case, Germany.

This VAT applies to all attendees, whether you're based in the EU or outside, and regardless of your tax status.

Can my company recover the VAT?
Yes, in many cases VAT can be reclaimed.
There are different processes for EU and non-EU companies:

For EU-based businesses:
You may reclaim German VAT through your local tax authority by submitting a refund request under the EU VAT Refund Procedure. Minimum reclaim thresholds apply:

€400 for quarterly claims
€50 for annual claims
For Non-EU businesses:
You can apply for a VAT refund directly through the German Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt). The process requires:

Registration for the BOP (BZSt Online-Portal)
Submission of digital applications within the official deadlines
Minimum reclaim thresholds:

€1,000 (for partial-year claims)
€500 (for annual claims)
Please note: The refund amounts are cumulative across all business-related expenses in Germany during the refund period, not just this conference.

What do I need to reclaim VAT?
To be eligible, your registration must include correct business details, including:

Company name
Address
VAT number (for EU) or tax ID (for non-EU)
You’ll also need to retain original invoices for all expenses, such as registration, accommodation, and meals.

If I need to get a refund, what's your policy?

Unfortunately, as per our Terms & Conditions (and standard practice for conferences and events), we do not offer refunds if you're unable to attend. However, you can reassign your ticket to a colleague or another product enthusiast. If the event is sold out, feel free to contact us, and we’ll do our best to help connect you with someone on the waitlist who may want to purchase your ticket.

Can I change the invoice details?
